The Grand Rapids Griffins visit the Milwaukee Admirals on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. Eastern at Panther Arena. The game streams on AHLTV on FloHockey and airs on WOOD 106.9 FM and 1300 AM. It is the first of 10 meetings between the Central Division rivals this season.

Grand Rapids (2-0-1-0) is coming off a 2-1 win over Manitoba in Friday’s home opener at Van Andel Arena, where Cameron Butler and William Lagesson scored. Milwaukee (1-0-0-0) has played once. The Griffins went 7-2-3-0 against the Admirals last season, including 4-1-1-0 in Milwaukee.

Players to watch

Red Wings goalie prospect Michal Postava made 36 saves Friday and is 2-0-0 with a 1.50 goals-against average and a .947 save percentage. Milwaukee counters with Isak Posch, who is 1-0 with a .957 save percentage. Sheldon Dries leads Grand Rapids with four points in two games after returning from his emergency recall to Detroit, and Jacob Bryson, Jesse Kiiskinen, and Theo Rochette have three points each.

Carter Bear, Detroit’s first-round pick (13th overall) in 2025, made his pro debut Friday with two shots after being assigned along with Chase Stillman. Several milestones are within reach: Ronnie Attard is one point from 100 pro points, Dominik Shine is one goal from 100 pro goals, and coach Dan Watson is one win from 400 as a pro head coach.

The Griffins return home Sunday to face the Chicago Wolves at 4 p.m.
