The Milwaukee Admirals beat the Grand Rapids Griffins 4-1 on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Panther Arena, a night after the Griffins’ home-opening win over Manitoba. Carter Bear, Detroit’s first-round pick (13th overall) in 2025, scored his first professional goal in his second pro game. Grand Rapids fell to 2-1-1-0, and Milwaukee improved to 2-0-0-0.

Scoring

Cole O’Hara opened the scoring at 5:06 of the first period. Milwaukee added two goals early in the second: Aiden Fink at 3:44, with assists from Tyson Jost and Gustafsson, and Chase Bradley on a breakaway at 5:24 during 4-on-4 play.

Bear broke up the shutout bid at 15:41 of the third, with Shai Buium and Kannok Leipert assisting. Kyle Marino sealed it with an empty-net goal at 17:30, shortly after the Griffins pulled their goaltender.

In goal and on special teams

Trey Augustine made 22 saves on 25 shots and is 0-1-1 this season. Isak Posch stopped 25 of 26 for Milwaukee and was named the game’s first star. Shots finished even at 26 apiece, with Grand Rapids outshooting Milwaukee 21-13 over the final two periods.

The Griffins went 0-for-3 on the power play and killed both Milwaukee chances, leaving their penalty kill at 14-for-15 on the season. Chase Stillman, assigned to Grand Rapids with Bear on Friday, took a second-period high-sticking minor. Attendance was 5,588.
