How the goals came
Josh Bonnyman gave Flint a 1-0 lead in the first period, pouncing on a loose puck after Cole Guizzetti was tripped. The lead held through a scoreless second.
Guelph took over in the third. Charlie Murata answered for Flint with his fourth goal of the season, set up by Xavier Tessier, to force overtime. Griffin then beat Bennett low for the winner.
