Red Wings prospect Victor Plante scored his first college goal and added two assists Friday night as No. 9 Minnesota Duluth beat rival Minnesota 7-1 at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth. Plante, a freshman forward, was Detroit’s second-round pick, 47th overall, in the 2026 NHL Draft.

Plante’s goal came at 4:58 of the second period and pushed the Bulldogs’ lead to 3-1 before a four-goal burst later in the period put the game away. He finished with three points, a plus-1 rating, and three shots on goal. Detroit Hockey Now noted that the performance gave him four points through his first four college games.
