The Minnesota Wild have made several trade offers to the Red Wings for Dylan Larkin, The Athletic’s Pierre LeBrun reported, as relayed Friday by The Hockey News. The report is unconfirmed, and Detroit has not announced any trade. Larkin remains suspended without pay after telling the team he will not play again until he is moved.

According to the report, Minnesota’s offers have included multiple first-round picks, but the Red Wings view the packages as too focused on the future, without the NHL-ready talent they want back. Detroit has been pushing for center Danila Yurov, and the Wild remain reluctant to include him. “They’ve made multiple offers,” LeBrun said of Minnesota. Mitten Hockey reported on Oct. 23 that talks between the teams had stalled over Yurov.

The report also narrows the field. LeBrun has ruled out Florida, Colorado, Vegas, and Dallas, leaving Minnesota, Carolina, New Jersey, Utah, Tampa Bay, and Washington among the teams on Larkin’s approved list. If a deal with the Wild comes together, Minnesota would likely need to move salary, such as Ryan Hartman or Filip Gustavsson, to fit Larkin’s $8.7 million cap hit.

Interim general manager Shawn Horcoff said Friday that Detroit will wait as long as it takes to get the right return. Each day of the suspension costs Larkin more than $41,000 in salary, The Hockey News calculated. The Red Wings host the St. Louis Blues at 1 p.m. Saturday at Little Caesars Arena.
