The Red Wings ended their first full week at 1-3-1, last in the Atlantic Division. Off the ice, reports about Simon Edvinsson’s contract standoff and the unsettled front office kept coming, even as two rookies scored their first NHL goals. In college hockey, Michigan, Michigan State, and Western Michigan all swept their weekends, which sets up a No. 2 at No. 1 trip to Denver for the Wolverines.
